Williams Racing Academy Driver Alessandro Giusti will challenge for another season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport in 2026, the Grove-based outfit has announced after the 2025 F3 season came to an end at last Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix.

The Monza round saw Giusti conclude his debut season in Formula 3, achieving 13 points finishes and two podiums including a third place in Barcelona and second place in Austria. This followed a strong rookie season in FRECA in 2023, where he achieved three wins, four podiums, and two poles, and a championship-winning French Formula 4 season in 2022.

“Alessandro will apply this experience to target the Formula 3 title in 2026, having adapted to the new era of Formula 3 car introduced this year. He also starts the season already embedded into his team and has been working with his engineers and trainer to build consistency across all sessions in the race weekend,” read a statement from Williams.

Commenting on the announcement, Giusti said: “I’m excited to return to Formula 3 with MP Motorsport next year and use everything I’ve learned to challenge for the title in 2026.

“My confidence has grown a lot this season and I’m feeling at home in the team. Thank you to the Williams Racing Driver Academy for their continued support and trust in me. I look forward to working together more next year and can’t wait to get back behind the wheel!”

Speaking of the news, Williams’ Sporting Director Sven Smeets added: “We’re looking forward to seeing Alessandro fight for the title in FIA Formula 3 and hope to see his experience and hard work pay off in 2026.

“He has made good progress this year, developing well on and off the track. Next season will give him the opportunity to strengthen his skill even further as he progresses through the motorsport ladder.”

Williams’ Driver Academy

The Williams Racing Driver Academy currently has ten members: Jamie Chadwick, Victor Martins, Lia Block, Oleksandr Bondarev, Dean Hoogendoorn, Luke Browning, Alessandro Giusti, Sara Matsui, Will Green, and Lucas Palacio.

In Formula 2, Luke Browning heads into the closing rounds of the season second in the championship after securing his first feature race win on Sunday in Monza.

One of the youngest drivers in the Academy,13-year-old Dean Hoogendoorn, was also crowned FIA Karting European Junior Champion earlier this year.
