It’s hard to believe, but we’re five years into the PlayStation 5’s lifecycle, and the console shows no signs of slowing down. Each year brings system updates, the occasional hardware refresh, and blockbuster exclusives that ensure the PS5 remains the go-to console for high-end gaming.
In the lead-up to Black Friday, Sony is giving people more reasons to get excited by releasing a series of limited-edition bundles across major retailers. My favorite of the bunch is the PlayStation 5 Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition, currently available for $599.99 directly from Sony’s website.

This particular set includes the PS5 Slim, a slimmed version of the original console that comes with 1TB of storage. What really sets this bundle apart is the stunning console cover inspired by Ghost of Yotei. The side panel is adorned with elegant brushstrokes depicting Mount Yotei, the location where the game takes place. Opposite it is a red hanko stamp featuring the PlayStation button symbols.

The included DualSense controller mirrors the art style, sporting similar brushstroke patterns and a silhouette of the game’s protagonist, Atsu, emblazoned on the touchpad. Sony is offering two design variants of this PS5 Ghost of Yotei bundle. My favorite is the Black bundle, but if you want something more flashy, there’s also the Gold bundle, which swaps out the ink for golden streaks.
As for the game itself, Ghost of Yotei was one of 2025’s biggest releases. Players take control of Atsu, a wandering mercenary who embarks on a mission to hunt down the Yotei Six and avenger her family. Critics have praise the game for its fluid action, open landscapes, and engaging story.

How I rated this deal
You can technically recreate this limited-edition setup yourself by purchasing the custom console covers, controller, and game individually through the PlayStation Store. However, doing so would cost approximately $720 in total. Save yourself $220 and get the bundle instead.
As per ZDNET’s rating system, I grant this deal a 4 out of 5. It combines one of the best PS5 games in 2025 with its flagship console. Whether you’re a fan of the prequel, Ghost of Tsushima, or looking for a new gaming machine, this is one of the best bundles you can buy for the holiday season.
