What do you miss most from home, and how do you get it in Spain?

Whether it’s a certain beer or biscuit, a cheese or just a wider range of spices, it’s not always easy to satisfy a craving for a food from back home. Which items do you miss the most, and have you found anywhere in Spain you can buy them? The Local wants to hear from you.

It’s something all foreigners can relate to ‒ a craving for that favourite flavour of crisps, that sauce or snack you always used to buy or even the staple food which just doesn’t taste the same when you make it here in Spain.

For Americans in Spain, it could be a particular takeout restaurant they crave. For Brits, it might be a nice mature cheddar cheese or back bacon.

Some in Spain originally from South Asian countries complain about difficulties finding a good supply of spices such as garam masala, though curry-loving Brits may also miss this ingredient.
