Preparing Bernabéu Stadium for Sunday’s game between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders relied on quite the feat of engineering.
Real Madrid shared a time lapse video of the traditional soccer pitch being replaced, a process that utilizes a high-tech system of switching out different playing surfaces.
The club shared renderings of the system in 2021 as it renovated the legendary Bernabéu.
The total cost of updating the stadium was more than €1 billion, and it’s easy to see why when so much was invested in simply managing the turf.
