Under-12s pay tribute to those lost in War with Trafford Veterans


As part of the project, the Under-12s visited the Stretford War Memorial, where the team laid a wreath and wrote poems inspired by former player, Sandy Turnbull, who lost his life in World War I and is commemorated on the memorial.

On the day, poems were selected to be read aloud by two of our players – Thierry and Maker, followed by a minute’s silence.
