Jihad al-Shamie, the man who was shot dead by police during a deadly rampage at a synagogue in England’s northwest last week, reportedly claimed he had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group in a phone call to police during the attack, counter terrorism police said Wednesday. Two people were killed in the attack, one accidentally shot by police as he barricaded the place of worship.
