College basketball player Gregg Glenn III has passed away in what is being called a “tragic accident.” Glenn started his career at Michigan University in 2022. After struggling to get playing time, he decided to head to a mid-major.
He played for Tulane University’s court for the past two seasons. Last year, he played in 34 games, averaging 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds. Off the court, he majored in health and wellness.
The 6-foot-7-inch forward was expected to play out his final season of eligibility in the fall, but he will never get the chance. Reports indicate he was swimming off the coast of Miami and drowned.
Tulane’s Vice President released a letter to students that ended by saying, “Let us remember Gregg not just for his achievements in sports, but for the kindness and warmth he shared with everyone.”
