Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour docuseries is finally here. The first two episodes dropped on Disney+ on Friday, Dec. 12. How long will fans have to wait for new episodes? Keep reading for the release schedule, plus a look at what the series has revealed so far.
Officially titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, the docuseries offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the superstar’s record-breaking Eras Tour. The trek kicked off in 2023 and wrapped 21 months later in December 2024, with Swift traveling to 21 countries across five continents and performing 149 three-hour shows.
Unlike any other tour in history, The Eras Tour highlighted the singer’s most significant and beloved hits from each era of her career, spanning her expansive discography, which she now wholly owns after buying back her masters this past summer.
The docuseries also spotlights the many moving parts required to bring the show to life, with a special focus on the dancers and crew, from the band and choreographers to the music technicians. One heartfelt moment shows Swift handing out handwritten thank-you notes and a reported $5.5 million in bonuses to her Eras Tour crew and truck drivers.
Most of the footage in the first two episodes centers on Swift’s final shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in August 2024, following the cancellation of her Vienna concerts after police uncovered a terrorist plot targeting the show. In another heartbreaking moment, Swift is seen visibly emotional while visiting the families of survivors and the families of children killed in a deadly knife attack at a Taylor Swift–themed dance class in Liverpool.
While Swift endured difficult times on the road, the docuseries also captures uplifting moments. Fans get an inside look at how the tour was created and conceptualized, including how songs from The Tortured Poets Department were added to the setlist after the album’s release. The series also shows artists like Ed Sheeran and Florence & the Machine preparing for their surprise cameos in London.
Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, hasn’t appeared on screen just yet, but viewers do hear his voice during a pre-show phone call that lifts the singer’s spirits ahead of her final London shows. He also makes a special onstage appearance at Wembley, which viewers will likely see in a future episode.
