Surya Karan Sambyal has joined CMS IndusLaw as a partner in its international arbitration practice and will be based at the firm’s Mumbai office.
Sambyal has represented multinational clients in complex, high-value international arbitrations and cross-border disputes. He has represented clients before arbitral institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, London Court of International Arbitration, Abu Dhabi Global Market and the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration, with matters spanning major arbitral seats including Geneva, London, Singapore, New York and India.
Sambyal works closely with business promoters, and has advised on complex legal, regulatory and governance issues. In addition, he has co-counselled with leading international law firms to deliver successful outcomes in high-stakes arbitrations. Before joining CMS IndusLaw, Sambyal was associated with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.
