Selena Quintanilla Is Celebrated in New Music Documentary: Here’s Where to Watch

She was the rising Latina superstar that was tragically murdered at the height of her fame. Now a new documentary looks to reflect on Selena Quintanilla’s groundbreaking life and legacy as Selena y Los Dinos: A Family’s Legacy hits Netflix.

Commonly known as the Queen of Tejano music, Quintanilla straddled Mexican and American identities while bringing Tejano music to mainstream audiences and winning a Grammy.

Thirty years after she was shot dead at the age of just 23 by her fan club manager, this feature-length movie directed by Isabel Castro features never-before-seen archival footage along with new interviews and insights from friends and family.
