SCCA empowers in-house counsel in ESG leadership series

The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) is set to launch Sustainability Connect, a new event series spearheaded by its ESG Chapter, on 28 October at the Singapore Management University (SMU).

With the theme From Compliance to Leadership: Legal’s Role in Navigating Sustainability, the inaugural edition aims to bring together in-house counsel, legal professionals and academics for cross-sector dialogue and collaboration on sustainability and sustainable finance.

Indranee Rajah, minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and second minister for Finance and National Development, will be the guest of honour.

Among the speakers are Kala Anandarajah, head of competition & antitrust and trade at Rajah & Tann Asia; Matthew Kasdin, general counsel at Impact Investment Exchange; Rachel Liu, team lead at Ministry of Trade and Industry; Sim Ting, general counsel at GenZero; Sean Tseng, senior legal counsel at Shein; and Stefanie Schacherer, assistant professor of law at SMU.

Sponsored by Dentons Rodyk, the programme will feature three panel discussions exploring how legal professionals can lead within the sustainability landscape.
