Etelka Bogardi
Reed Smith has hired Etelka Bogardi as a partner in its financial industry group in Singapore to enhance the firm’s financial services regulatory and fintech capabilities in Asia.
Bogardi has joined the firm from Norton Rose Fulbright where she served as head of fintech and financial services regulatory in Asia, and was a partner for eight years. Prior to this, she has previously worked as a senior counsel at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority for slightly more than two years.
With more than 20 years of experience, Bogardi is recognised for advising international financial institutions, investment funds, intermediaries, asset managers, insurers and fintech companies on financial services regulatory matters. Her expertise includes licensing and authorisation, cross-border compliance, conduct matters and the supervision of banks and intermediaries.
Her practice also focuses on the regulation of innovative technologies in the financial markets, including digital assets and payments regulation.
Bogardi will work in close co-ordination with Reed Smith’s Hong Kong office to support clients across Asia’s financial centres.
