Millwall fan punched by own fan when jumping into the away end after being in Charlton end

A Millwall fan was punched by a fan of his own club when jumping into the away end after being in Charlton end.

Fair to say there was a lot going on at The Valley on Saturday, we saw a Millwall fan in the Charlton end gets punched and kicked.

Then another clip emerged online of a Charlton fan in the home end and Millwall’s Danny McNamara on the bench going at each other during the game.

There was fighting as fans made their way up the steps and out the ground. Take a look at all the video uploaded below, fair to say it all got rather chaotic…

“Section 35 Dispersal Order is a police power in the UK under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Here’s what it means in simple terms:

Purpose

It allows police officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to deal quickly with anti-social behaviour, crime, or disorder in a specific area.

The aim is to reduce the risk of harassment, alarm, distress, or crime and make the community feel safer.

How it works

An officer (of at least the rank of Inspector) can authorise a dispersal order for a defined area for up to 48 hours.

Once in place, police can direct people to leave the area and not return for the duration of the order.
The order applies to anyone whose presence or behaviour is likely to contribute to anti-social behaviour, crime, or disorder – even if they haven’t committed a crime yet.

Powers given to police

Require individuals to leave the area.
Confiscate items (like alcohol or items that could be used in anti-social behaviour).
Arrest someone who refuses to comply with the order.

Penalties for ignoring it

Failing to comply with a Section 35 dispersal order is a criminal offence.

It can lead to arrest, a fine (up to £2,500), or even a prison sentence of up to 3 months.

Where it’s used

Typically in areas with recurring issues like public drinking, drug use, violent incidents, harassment, or gatherings causing nuisance.

The police must consider the rights of individuals and the impact on the local community before enforcing it.

✅ In short: A Section 35 dispersal order is a temporary power that lets police order people to leave a certain area for up to 48 hours to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. Ignoring it is a criminal offence.
