Manchester City scout Cologne’s El Mala

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is known for his tendency to stack the wide attacking section of his squad with as many high-quality options as possible. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Cologne winger Said El Mala could become the next target for the Catalan coach, and City have already instructed their scouts to watch the progress of the 19-year-old closely.

This is El Mala’s first season in the senior ranks at Cologne, and he already has four goals and two assists to his name from 10 Bundesliga appearances. His contract, which he signed this summer, runs until 2030, but if City decide to make their move and he decides he wants the move, Cologne aren’t likely to resist their advances for too long.

El Mala usually plays on the left, but being equally good on the ball with both feet, he can play on the right as well, at practically the same level.
