Rising Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has officially secured a new luxury residence — and it’s no ordinary property. According to Diario Sport, the 17-year-old prodigy has purchased the former home of ex-Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and pop icon Shakira.
The high-profile deal reportedly took between three to four months to finalize and is located in one of Barcelona’s most exclusive neighborhoods — Ciutat Diagonal. This area is known for hosting some of the city’s most elite figures, including Yamal’s current and former teammates Ronald Araújo, Alejandro Balde, and Andrés Iniesta.
The property itself is breathtaking. The mansion covers a combined area of roughly 1,240 square meters, consisting of two interconnected houses. It sits just about 10 kilometers from Barcelona’s training facility, making it an ideal location for the young winger’s daily routine.
Among its many features are six spacious bedrooms, two swimming pools — one indoor and one outdoor — a modern gym, and a library. One of the standout features is a recording studio once used by Shakira during her music career. Interestingly, reports suggest that Yamal’s rumored girlfriend, Argentine singer Nicki Nicole, could now make use of that same studio.
However, the house won’t remain exactly as it was. Plans are already underway for a major renovation project to tailor the mansion to Yamal’s lifestyle as a professional footballer. The remodel will include:
A private fitness gym
A fully equipped physiotherapy room
A state-of-the-art security system to ensure privacy
A small football pitch for personal training
A padel court for leisure and fitness
The new home represents not just a milestone in Yamal’s rapidly rising career, but also a symbolic passing of the torch — from one generation of Barça icons to the next.
At just 17, Yamal has already become a regular starter for Barcelona and a national hero in Spain. His acquisition of such a prestigious property is another sign that he’s ready to embrace both the responsibility and lifestyle that come with football stardom.
