IHCF president Won-Young Jung delivers the opening remarks at the Fall Academy 2025
The In-House Counsel Forum (IHCF) hosted its Fall Academy on 20 September at the JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul, drawing more than 100 participants from member companies and sponsoring law firms.
The half-day programme provided a platform for in-house counsel to engage in discussions on critical developments in corporate law and compliance.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from IHCF president Won-Young Jung, setting the stage for a series of in-depth discussions. Lee & Ko partner Sung Min Kim discussed the key issues and challenges under the 2025 amendments to the Korean Commercial Code, while Jipyong attorney Eunji Han provided a forward-looking perspective on corporate investigations under the new administration, with practical strategies for managing search and seizure. From LIN, senior advisor Suk-Ho Bang and attorney Bo Mi Seo turned attention to the growing impact of artificial intelligence, highlighting essential legal issues for in-house counsel in the era of digital transformation.
Attendees exchanged insights during the sessions and networking breaks. The final session was led by In Wook Hwang, partner at D&A, exploring the theory and practice of foreign exchange compliance.
The Fall Academy forms part of IHCF’s longstanding academic initiatives, which have been central to the forum since the launch of the series in 2006.
Held every two years, the Fall Academy is one of the Academic Committee’s flagship events, alongside the Spring Academy, the In-House 101 programme and the annual two-day Summer Workshop.
