To strengthen its competition practice, Hylands Law Firm has hired a talented duo from Hogan Lovells, Adrian Emch as a senior counsel and Lyu Qing as a partner, to be based at the Shanghai office.
Emch worked at Hogan Lovells for 15 years and was the former head of the firm’s antitrust and competition team based at the Beijing office.
He specialises in antitrust and competition law as well as international trade and investment, advising mainland and international companies on merger control and cartel investigations. Emch has participated in major projects such as IBM’s USD2.3 billion sale of its x86 server business to Lenovo. He is fluent in Chinese, English, French, German and Spanish.
Lyu worked at Hogan Lovells’ Beijing, US and Shanghai branches for the past 12 years, advising on competition law and foreign trade law to Chinese and multinational companies. She is familiar with the technology, internet, telecommunications, media and energy sectors.
