Han Kun Singapore brings in dispute resolution partner

Jerald Foo

Han Kun Law Offices has hired Jerald Foo as a partner in its Singapore office to bolster its cross-border dispute resolution practice in Southeast Asia.

Before joining Han Kun, Foo was a partner at Rajah & Tann, focusing on cross-border dispute resolution, corporate law, joint venture and shareholder disputes, fraud, and asset recovery, among others. He is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, and a member of the Bar of England and Wales.

Foo has defended numerous financial institutions in banking and finance disputes and has represented clients in arbitrations under institutional rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.

He brings 13 years of legal experience to the PRC firm. Earlier in his career, Foo worked at the Supreme Court of Singapore as a justices’ law clerk and assistant registrar. Subsequently, he practised at several Singapore law firms, including as a senior associate at Cavenagh Law, Clifford Chance’s Singapore alliance firm, and as a partner at boutique dispute resolution firm Oon & Bazul.

Han Kun’s Singapore office now houses eight lawyers since it opened in June 2023. Among them is former Withers partner Leong Chuo-ming, who joined last year.
