Everything seemed to be lining up for Genoa to book three Serie A points against Parma on Sunday, with the visitors’ defender Abdoulaye Ndiaye sent off for two bookings in the first half and referee Simone Sozza awarding the hosts a penalty in the second-half stoppage time.
But as Genoa forward Maxwel Cornet stepped up to win the game for his team from the spot, Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki had other plans.
