Global Law Office launches branch in Suzhou

Global Law Office has recently established a presence in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, marking its fifth office in China and represents the firm’s first expansion of its network in five years, following the Chengdu branch in 2020.

At the branch’s opening ceremony at China Central Place on 19 December, Liu Jinrong, managing partner of Global Law Office, said: “Leveraging our integrated platform and a strong local team, the Suzhou office will focus on key areas such as advanced manufacturing, cross-border investment and the digital economy.

“With an entrepreneurial mindset, we aim to support corporate growth, empower regional development and weave a ‘double-sided embroidery’ that integrates law and business,” Liu added, using a metaphor drawn from Suzhou embroidery, the city’s renowned intangible cultural heritage.

In addition to Suzhou and Chengdu, Global Law Office – headquartered in Beijing – also operates offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen, which were established in 2000 and 2011, respectively.

Notably, several national full-service law firms have entered the Suzhou market this year, including Tahota Law Firm and Lantai Partners. Earlier market entrants include King & Wood Mallesons (2008), AllBright Law Offices (2011), Dacheng Law Offices (2012), DeHeng Law Offices (2014), Grandall Law Firm (2015), Tian Yuan Law Firm (2020), Commerce & Finance Law Offices (2023) and Grandway Law Offices (2024).
