Almost two dozen French town halls raised the Palestinian flag above their entrances on Monday despite the interior ministry’s warning not to do so, ahead of President Emmanuel Macron’s expected recognition of the State of Palestine at the UN. “The principle of neutrality in public service prohibits such displays,” the interior ministry said.
