  • EDLP was designed to develop leaders who can drive national digital transformation

The Executive Digital Leadership Programme (EDLP) Appreciation Dinner 2025 brought together more than 300 public- and private-sector digital leaders at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel on 5 December to celebrate the growing EDLP alumni community and their role in advancing Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda.

Developed by the Ministry of Digital through MyDigital Corporation, in partnership with the Asia School of Business with faculty input from MIT Sloan, EDLP was designed to build a pipeline of forward-looking leaders capable of navigating, influencing, and accelerating national digital transformation. Through rigorous academic modules, industry immersion, hands-on sessions, and real transformation projects, the programme has equipped senior leaders with the frameworks and mindsets needed to drive digital outcomes across their organisations.

In his welcome remarks, Adrian Marcellus, CEO of MyDigital Corporation, congratulated the EDLP alumni for their commitment to digital leadership and extended his sincere thanks to all technology and industry partners for their invaluable collaboration and support.

Meanwhile, Fabian Bigar (pic), secretary general of the Ministry of Digital, stressed in his keynote address the importance of strong digital leadership—especially as Malaysia enters Phase 3 of the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint, centred on AI adoption, GovTech modernisation, secure digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data-driven transformation.

He highlighted EDLP’s placement within the senior leadership tier of the forthcoming National Digital Talent Framework and encouraged alumni to refine their digital roadmaps, deepen collaboration, and champion innovation within their organisations. He concluded by thanking partners for their ongoing support, noting their essential role in EDLP’s success.

Together, their messages underscored EDLP’s role in shaping leaders who can drive meaningful transformation and advance Malaysia’s digital ambitions.

The highlight of the evening was the launch of the EDL Alumni Engagement Portal, officiated by Fabian Bigar. Known as the Executive Digital Leaders’ Nexus, the platform will serve as a long-term catalyst for collaboration, networking, and knowledge-sharing among alumni across ministries, agencies, industry, and academia.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed a vibrant line-up of activities including:

  •  An EDLP Journey video featuring highlights from Cohorts Six–Ten
  •  Digital roadmap presentations by three EDLP participants
  •  A live performance by singer-songwriter Naqiu

The EDLP Appreciation Dinner 2025 reaffirmed the importance of visionary, collaborative digital leadership as Malaysia accelerates the implementation of national digital initiatives. The Ministry of Digital and MyDigital Corporation also expressed their appreciation to ASB and EDLP’s technology partners—including Microsoft, AWS, IBM, Shopee, Cisco, Code Campus, and ChamRun Digital—for enriching the programme with global insights and practical industry exposure.
