Duan & Duan Law Firm has secured the practice licence for its new Wuhan branch, which has been set up to expand the firm’s presence in Central China.
This is the firm’s 30th office in the mainland and 40th branch worldwide, mainly providing legal services to clients in Hubei province and China’s central region.
Guo Jidong, the head of the Wuhan office, will build a team focusing on cross-border business, digital economy and capital markets.
He has extensive experience in corporate bankruptcy, M&A and restructuring. Previously, he was a senior partner and chair of the management committee at the Wuhan branch of DeHeng Law Offices, where he also led the major and complex cases co-ordination centre.
Since the beginning of this year, Duan & Duan has continued to expand its global network by establishing new offices in Haikou, China, and Sydney, Australia, in May.
