Dolly Parton Museum and Hotel Opens for Reservations in Nashville

“To Nashville, Love Dolly”—so goes the sentiment behind a new museum and hotel devoted to Dolly Parton preparing to open next year in downtown Nashville.

As reported by an eager anchor on WSMV4 News, “You can go ahead and sign up to visit as early as June, if you love that lady.” The subject of her excitement is Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum and SongTeller Hotel, both of which will offer Parton fans an experience around a four-hour drive from her storied Dollywood amusement park and resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (closer to Knoxville).

Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, on the third floor of the SongTeller Hotel, promises “the largest exhibit celebrating her life in the world to date, spanning every dynamic decade from the top of the mountains to the top of the world.” Tickets priced at $31.99 offer visitors access to an “immersive” experience about which the website says, “Using state-of-the-art technology, Dolly will take you through her many worlds of music and movies, family and faith combined in a kaleidoscope of dreams, hopes and, of course, dazzling style.”

Meanwhile, the SongTeller Hotel is touted as “a hub of music, style, and hospitality, all designed the Dolly-way.” Included are a concert venue called Parton’s Live and a cocktail bar called Jolene’s. Rooms with a king bed during the opening week in June start at $421 a night—or $444 with an “I Will Always Love You” Romance Package that includes a bottle of Dolly Parton Sparkling Wine, chocolate truffles, framed lyrics to your favorite Dolly song, and a sweetheart floral arrangement.

As the WSMV4 News anchor enthusiastically noted, Parton’s museum and hotel will be near the Hard Rock Café and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in downtown Nashville.
