Commerce & Finance Law Offices has opened in Chongqing, marking its second branch in Southwest China after Chengdu and its 11th office worldwide.
The new office is based in the Chongqing (Hualongqiao) International Business District of Yuzhong district.
Partner Liao Jun leads a team of three partners and seven lawyers to assist clients in commercial dispute resolution, and advise on criminal law, banking and finance, construction and real estate matters.
At the opening ceremony held on 28 October, Wu Gang, chairman of the firm’s management committee, said Yuzhong district was the heart and core urban area of Chongqing. It was also home to many multinational companies and financial institutions, so establishing an office was an inevitable choice that aligns with the macroeconomic development, Wu said.
