- Company commits to connectivity and digitalisation Investment

CelcomDigi Berhad has accepted the assignment of spectrum from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), comprising 2×5 MHz in the 1800 MHz band and 2×20 MHz in the 2600 MHz band. The assignments are effective from 30 November 2025, the telco noted in a statement.
The assignments will run until 30 June 2032 for the 1800 MHz band and 30 June 2027 for the 2600 MHz band. CelcomDigi has made price component payments of US$71 million (RM292.5 million) to MCMC for both bands and will commit to cumulative annual payments totalling US$29 million (RM120 million) over the respective assignment periods.
According to CelcomDigi, the assignments will safeguard the company’s network capabilities and ensure a high-quality experience for all customers. They also reaffirm the company’s commitment to infrastructure investment to meet Malaysia’s growing connectivity and digitalisation needs.
The company expressed its gratitude to the government and the Commission for their support and trust in the assignments.
