Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys dominated the Washington Commanders with a 44-22 home win Sunday.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game in the second half after taking a sack and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Before his exit, he completed 12-of-22 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, adding another score on the ground.
Prescott finished 21-of-30 for 264 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with CeeDee Lamb for a score while Lamb added 110 yards receiving. Jake Ferguson added two touchdowns, and Javonte Williams contributed a rushing touchdown with 116 yards.
The Cowboys’ win over the Commanders excited fans as they improved to 3-3 on the season.
Dallas recorded 21 first downs and 409 total yards of offense, while their defense stopped Washington on both fourth-down attempts and forced two turnovers.
The Cowboys took a commanding 27-15 lead at halftime, scoring on five of their seven possessions in the first half.
Their defense dominated the third quarter with a fumble recovery and a pick-six, giving Dallas a 41-22 lead heading into the final 15 minutes, where the Cowboys added one more field goal to cruise to the win.
Dallas will travel to face the Denver Broncos next Sunday, who are coming off a fourth-quarter comeback win over the New York Giants.
