Starting Jan. 1, 2026, Bilt Rewards members will begin earning Bilt Cash. So what exactly is this new currency?
Bilt Cash is a new rewards currency within the Bilt ecosystem. You’ll earn $50 in Bilt Cash every time you earn 25,000 Bilt Points, and you’ll be able to redeem Bilt Cash for a fixed value at local merchants in the Bilt network (specifically, $10 of Bilt Cash is worth $10 with merchants in the Bilt network).
Bilt Cash will launch in the new year to replace the milestone rewards program. In 2024, Bilt added milestone rewards for every 25,000 points members earned within a calendar year. However, many Bilt Rewards members didn’t find these milestone rewards particularly compelling.
With Bilt launching Bilt Cash in 2026, keep reading to find out how to earn and redeem this new currency.
How to earn and redeem Bilt Cash
Bilt Cash is earned on top of your regular Bilt points. You’ll receive $50 in Bilt Cash every time you earn 25,000 Bilt points, and it becomes available for use immediately after you hit that milestone.
You can start spending Bilt Cash beginning in February 2026 at a variety of places and experiences within the Bilt ecosystem.
According to Bilt, examples include:
- Cash off when you use mobile dining checkout
- Hotels in Bilt’s travel portal
- Fitness classes
- Home Delivery orders
- One-time access to elite status benefits for Blue and Silver members, such as upgraded status for a Rent Day transfer bonus, early access to an experience or Home Away from Home access

Bilt also notes that Bilt Cash is “designed to grow alongside our expanding ecosystem of neighborhood merchants.” So, expect additional ways to earn and redeem Bilt Cash over time, including “exclusive experiences and one-time access to elite benefits.”

And don’t worry: Bilt points — and the value you can get when redeeming them with the Bilt transfer partners — are here to stay. Bilt Cash is a new rewards currency you’ll earn in addition to points, offering fixed-value spending power for everyday purchases, while points remain your primary tool for high-value travel redemptions and partner transfers.
With the launch of Bilt Cash, what happens to existing milestone rewards?
Bilt confirmed that any milestone rewards you claim before the end of 2025 will remain active until they expire or you’ve earned the maximum points for that milestone reward. However, unused milestone rewards will expire at the end of 2025, so be sure to claim any rewards you earned before the year’s end.
Bottom line
Though the earning rate of Bilt Cash is relatively low at just 0.2 cents per point, and you must reach specified thresholds to earn Bilt Cash, it’s still a welcomed addition to the Bilt ecosystem since members will earn Bilt Cash on top of points.
This added bonus can save members real cash with merchants operating within Bilt’s network.
