North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick dismissed rumors he was seeking a contract buyout, calling them “categorically false.”
“There’s no truth to that. I’m glad I’m here,” he told reporters Monday.
Ollie Connolly of the Guardian reported on Oct. 8 that Belichick “has discussed buyout options with North Carolina’s hierarchy.” Some of his assistants were reportedly already evaluating their options as well:
