Calamus Huang
Appleby has hired cross-border transactional lawyer Calamus Huang as a partner for its Hong Kong office in a move to strengthen the firm’s corporate practice in Greater China.
Huang was previously a Shanghai-based partner at Harneys’ corporate group, where she advised clients, such as private equity and venture capital funds, as well as listed and private companies, on cross-border transactions.
She has extensive experience in initial and secondary public offerings, M&A, restructuring, private equity fund formation and regulatory compliance.
Huang has experience working at international law firms in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Before joining Harneys, she spent a decade at Sidley Austin, and also worked at the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and Linklaters, respectively.
