Earlier this week, talkSPORT’s Andy Goldstein reveals which Premier League club has the “worst owners” and explains why.
Talking with Darren Bent, he brands West Ham owners David Sullivan and Karren Brady the “worst in the Premier League”, slamming: appalling recruitment, the London Stadium debacle, poor decisions and disgusting cost-cutting.
Darren Bent agreed, and labelled the recruitment “embarrassing” recent transfers largely failed, with the ownership running West Ham into the ground, leaving fans fed up.
“It’s disgusting!” 😳

He said: “I do feel for West Ham fans at the same time, their recruitment has been nothing short of appalling.
“And on top of that, I do think that Brady and Sullivan are two of the worst owners of a football club in the Premier League.
“What they have done to that club from where it was when they went there to where the club is now, they don’t have a home ground.
“I know those that they got London Stadium, they rent that. It’s not a football stadium. It’s an Olympic Stadium.
“They could have easily expanded up and park and put another 15, 20,000 seats in there easily, but they wanted to take the money.
“I do think that Brady and Sullivan have got so much to answer for because everything about that club, it is with all owners, is down to the people that run it, that make the decisions, that are in charge of the money.
“And I can’t think of any decent decisions that have actually made, they’ve gone in the right direction.
“The fans, all right, I’ll be honest, little bit to blame because they wanted David Moyes out. So there was a moment where the owners were like, well actually we need to get the fans on our side, so let’s get rid of David Moyes. Now that’s backfired dramatically. Lopetegui so wasn’t the right appointment.
“And their squad just looks depleted. No one wants to play for the badge. The fans are more, as I said, I feel for them. They’re so fed up with the way their club has run.”
Darren Bent: “I was looking at some of their signings, right? And I was thinking, like, who has been a success in terms of recent times. You go back to 19/20, they signed Jarrod Bowen. Like he’s obviously without a doubt been one of the best and they signed Soucek as well on that same window. think he’s been quite decent.
“So I look at the team and I go, okay, they’re two okay signings. Jesse Lingard came in for a bit, done really well with the new loan in the COVID period. But since then Kurt Zouma to a point, I thought he played his part when they won the Conference League.
“Paqueta, good signing, but then Scamacca, Ings, and I like Danny Ings, not good enough. Kudos was decent. Edson Alvarez, okay, Ward Prowse, hasn’t really worked. Mavropanos, a bit slow, they’ve got Kalvin Phillips on loan, that didn’t work. Then you go Max Kilman, 47 million euros, hasn’t really worked out, Summerville. II like, Fullkrug, can’t stay fit, unfortunately, so then you’re looking at him going, is that a good signing?
“There’s so many of signings, then you go even Todibo, who they brought back. I’m not sure on him either.”
Andy: “Even if you go up to the now, they’ve got Callum Wilson. Adrian Durham was saying last night, alluding to that, the reason he didn’t come off the bench is he’s on pay as you play.
“Now, if that’s true, if they’re not picking a player, because it will cost them money when they need goals, and they’ve bought a striker. It’s disgusting.”
Darren: “It’s embarrassing. Especially at 1-0. It’s not like 5-0 and you go… it’s not like you’re five nil down and you go, there’s no point in coming on, because he ain’t going to make a difference. One nil, because they scored their second goal in the 94th minute.”
Andy: “I know.”
Jamie Carragher gives damning review of West Ham’s situation after defeat to Brentford
Nuno Espirito Santo calls for support as he responds to West Ham fans’ boycott plans
Here’s how fans reacted as Andy Goldstein reveals which Premier League club has the “worst owners” and explains why…
@IrishIron32: This is fairly spot on and mimics what I said about the board at the time. Even if you feel like West Ham fans have been proven wrong for wanting to move on from Moyes, it was the board ultimately who did it. They fucked up the contract and cost us that season at a pivotol time.
@The_BoleynBoys: Why can’t you understand this @Sjopinion10???
@uppywolf: Second only to fosun
@LiamAvis1: Good to see Sullivan and Brady being criticized from people outside of the West Ham fanbase. They have ruined our club. Yes we had those good years in Europe but due to incompetence we’ve not progressed and now we are looking to be in a relegation battle. #NoMoreBS
@tkahlon100: Moyes leaving nothing to do with the fans SB withdrew his new contract offer
@HammersUnited2:
It’s so depressing.
It’s so predictable.
#NoMoreBS
@westhamfam: Thank you Goldstein, someone in the media actually being honest about West Ham’s situation
@MorganRees333: Great work @andygoldstein05 – thanks for understanding where we are coming from. Darren is not wrong about the signings, huge flaw, but this is more than just failed transfers – the whole club is analogue in a digital age. It’s run like it’s the 80s
@Nintenmarz: This. Rice’s money wasn’t reinvested and Brady took £105m for him, then Brighton got £115m for Caicedo a few weeks later. She’d have been fired on the apprentice for that. Arsenal laugh their heads off at us. Even Moyes said he was worth £140m-£150m. #BSOUT #NoMoreBS #BradyOut
@gregblunt01: Finally, people other than just the fan base are starting to see and call out the absolute shambles of a board for what it is
@dthomson123: Im glad the mainstream media are starting to see what ive seen for years, just look at the state they left Birmingham in, all the signs where there.
@WHUFCFZ: Absolutely brilliant stuff from Goldstein. Spot on with every word he’s said in this clip.
@andy_gulley: Sorry to say I can only see relegation for the Hammers, watching their games this season their squad isn’t good enough, the Stadium is too big for them to create the sort of atmosphere they need & ridiculously the pitch seems to big for them, the fans have been sold down the river
@stuartvincent29: @karren_brady you hear this??? Get the hint???
@Joey041992: But she makes out she’s the best business woman ever on The Apprentice
@shanyloublog: At least Andy gets it, otherwise you have Cundy and O’Hara laughing and playing the violin noise when our fans call in to their show expressing how upset and frustrated they are.
@Jfar_whufc: Say it loud and keep saying it! Do not let this story die like they’re letting the club die! 100% hold my hands up on Moyes was never Moyes out but was bored by the end! But I’d taken boring boring stability now!
@D4NDYD4N: Talk sport and other media outlets finally saying it as it is. Let’s hope this momentum continues, putting pressure on the current regime. Enough is enough
@lloyders99: Agree with you Andy, but just because Looetegui wasn’t the right manager, doesn’t mean Moyes was. He was not sacked. His contract wasn’t renewed. I’ll always love Moyes, but we shipped 74 goals in his last season. That’s not good enough

Another thin crowd.
Official attendance will be over 62,000 of course.
The real attendance will be revealed under FOI in 5 weeks.
It will be less than 40,000.#NoMoreBS pic.twitter.com/tWarpYI0i6
