A Travel Writer Swears By Quince’s Jewelry Case

Everyone has that one travel mishap that will always stay with them. Though I’ve never been pickpocketed or lost my passport while abroad, I did something just as unfortunate while en route to Europe last summer: I lost a $625 Tiffany ring. To make matters even worse, I was on a mother-daughter trip at the time, and my mom had given me the ring as a 30th birthday present.

What followed was a lot of tears and pleading with airport staff. I even made a panicked long-distance call to the Tiffany’s store my mom bought the ring from to see if anything could be done on their end; it couldn’t. It was a painful, not to mention very costly, lesson to learn—but it was also an extremely meaningful experience too. Though tragic, losing that ring made me see just how essential traveling with a jewelry case is.

I’ve been on a few trips since that fateful one, and I always have this Quince jewelry case with me in my carry-on now. And it seems like I’m not the only one either; the jewelry case is a constant best-seller, with 800 reviews and a 4.8-star rating. In addition to its aesthetically pleasing leather and gold hardware design, shoppers say it’s spacious enough to hold a “few days’” worth of jewelry and the “perfect size for a carry-on or backpack.” Several of them “can’t believe they didn’t get one sooner.”

I really appreciate how user-friendly this jewelry case is; it comes with four hoops for holding and separating necklaces, plus six different holes for earrings. I’ve also nestled rings inside the mini pocket that runs across the top. As someone who used a small drawstring bag to hold her jewelry before—and apparently dropped it out of her backpack during the trip mentioned at the top of this story—all these features couldn’t be more beneficial for carrying jewelry securely, accessing it easily, and keeping it in order.

A fellow traveler who admitted to using a Ziplock bag to hold their jewelry added that it’s “sturdy, and convenient,” while another, who identified themself as using a packing cube to hold their jewels, said it “keeps everything nicely organized.” Other fans note that “necklaces travel well without getting tangled.”

If you have a trip coming up, feel free to use my story as a cautionary tale, and invest it in your own jewelry case today. (Oprah thinks you should get one too!) Or if you already own one, keep scrolling to shop these other popular travel accessory options available at Quince.
