Hey, Rosalía, we can see your halo. Literally—the singer has been out and about promoting her fourth studio album, Lux—with a host of heavenly looks. The cherry on top? A halo bleached into her dark brown hair, maintained by hairstylist Evanie Frausto.
“Rosalía is a true artist,” Frausto says of the look. The two first met on a Vogue Italia shoot in 2022 and have worked together ever since. “She has every detail realized. Her new album has such a spiritual vibe, and the idea of the bleached hair halo came from that.”
To create the angelic design (originally created by a Spanish hairstylist), Frausto free-handed 40 volume bleach in the shape of a circle around the crown of the singer’s head. “I had to eye it until it was the perfect shade of golden blonde,” the stylist says. “The secret to making it work is to mix the bleach so it is thick and won’t run.”
Rosalía’s hair isn’t the only thing been feeling canonical recently. On the cover of Lux, the artist is styled by Chloe and Chenelle in a look that directly references a nun, wimple and all (in reality, it’s fresh off the runway Alainpaul spring 2025). In the video for the single “Berghain,” Rosalía wore a pair of strappy black heels from McQueen’s spring 2003 collection, which included a rosary in lieu of ankle straps.
