5 Players You Should Target

Not only did we lose several key players to injuries on Sunday, but now we have four teams on bye for Week 12. Many fantasy managers might need to look for outside help to fill out their lineups. Let’s go to the waiver wire for some reinforcements. We’ll highlight four wide receivers among our five Week 12 fantasy football sleepers that you should target to help your team.

1. Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers

Watson was targeted five times in a win against the Giants in Week 11, finishing with four receptions for 46 yards and two touchdowns. He has posted at least 45 receiving yards and has been targeted at least four times in all four games since returning from injury. With Tucker Kraft (knee) done for the season, Watson should be one of the top pass-catching options for the Packers down the stretch.

2. Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendix) was ruled out last week, paving the way for Wilson to lead the Cardinals at wide receiver. He didn’t let his opportunity go to waste, catching 15 of 18 targets for 185 yards. Harrison could be out again for a Week 12 matchup with the Jaguars, who have given up the seventh-most passing yards per game in the league. That makes Wilson a viable flex option in most fantasy formats.

3. Emanuel Wilson, RB, Green Bay Packers

Josh Jacobs (knee) didn’t make it through the first half against the Giants before departing the game. Reports on Monday indicated that he appears to have avoided a serious injury, but it’s uncertain if he will be able to play in Week 12. Filling in for Jacobs on Sunday, Wilson registered 40 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. If Jacobs is ruled out again, Wilson becomes a viable flex option versus the Vikings.

4. Adonai Mitchell, WR, New York Jets

In his debut with the Jets last week, Mitchell only caught one pass for 10 yards. However, the more encouraging stat was his six targets. Justin Fields was terrible again, so the Jets have decided to bench him for Tyrod Taylor moving forward. Taylor is a more reliable passer and he could be asked to throw a lot as the Jets try to keep pace with the Ravens on Sunday. Don’t be surprised if Mitchell leads the team in targets.

5. Isaiah Hodgins, WR, New York Giants

With Darius Slayton (hamstring) out, the Giants brought back an old friend in Hodgins, who had the best season of his career with the team in 2022. He was involved heavily right away, hauling in five of six targets for 57 yards against the Packers. Even if Slayton is cleared to return for Week 12, the Giants need a third wide receiver behind him and Wan’Dale Robinson. In a game in which the Giants might need to throw a lot to keep up with the high-octane Lions offense, Hodgins could have some value in deeper fantasy formats.
