Australia’s MinterEllison ramps up private capital offering

Lee Horan, partner at MinterEllison in Sydney

MinterEllison has hired Lee Horan as a partner in its Sydney office to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and capital markets capabilities in Australia.

Horan has joined the firm from King & Wood Mallesons (KWM), where he spent nearly 18 years as a partner. His practice focused on M&A, private equity and public market transactions. He has also brought with him industry experience in media, health, entertainment, data and technology, agriculture, education, and food and beverages.

In his previous role at KWM, he recently co-led a team acting for Australian IT (information technology) services provider Adamantem Capital on its acquisition of Nexon Asia Pacific, an Australian digital consulting and managed services provider.

The transaction, which was subject to customary conditions and approvals, marked the eighth investment from Adamantem Capital’s private equity fund.
