The Lake Como Edition Opening Spring 2026

  • Edition Hotels will open a Lake Como resort in March 2026.
  • The Lake Como Edition will be housed in a 19th-century palazzo, with 148 guest rooms and suites, some with lake views.
  • The hotel will blend historic charm with contemporary furnishings, along with a floating pool, several dining options, and a modern spa, overlooking the lake.

This coming spring, Edition Hotels will expand its Italian portfolio with an outpost along the western shores of Lake Como. The Ian Schrager–led hospitality company already has a hotel in Rome.

Opening in March 2026, The Lake Como Edition will take over a 19th-century palazzo in the lakeside town of Cadenabbia. The building retains some of its original features, such as its cream-and-clay exterior and vaulted ceilings, while the interiors, envisioned by Edition Hotels’ creative directors, Kirstin Bailey and Paul Haslhofer, along with Shanghai-based design studio Neri & Hu, will reflect the brand’s signature contemporary ethos.

Guests will enter through a cantilevered teakwood portico framed by a vertical garden of wisteria and climbing roses. Inside, the light-filled public spaces will feature marble archways, terrazzo floors, and a sculptural staircase. Antique mirrors and tapestries will mix with modern art, while floor-to-ceiling glass walls will reveal sweeping views of the water.

The hotel will have 148 guest rooms, including 25 suites and two penthouses. Rooms are designed with custom walnut furnishings, hand-tufted rugs in lake-inspired tones, and Calacatta marble detailing. Lake view rooms will also come with original restored French balconies.

Mauro Colagreco, the chef behind the Michelin three-starred restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France, will oversee the dining program. Signature restaurant Cetino will spotlight seasonal, sustainable ingredients in contemporary dishes. Renzo, the all-day terrace eatery, will channel Italian hospitality and family-style dining, while the Lobby Bar will serve coffee, cocktails, and small plates with waterfront seating. A relaxed poolside venue with a seafood-heavy menu will welcome both guests and locals.

Outside, guests can unwind at the hotel’s floating pool, surrounded by cabanas, lounge chairs, and a private dock. A waterside promenade, part of the Lake Como Greenway walking route, connects Cadenabbia to nearby villages.

The hotel will feature the second Longevity Spa in Italy, a high-tech retreat that blends anti-aging science with holistic therapies. The sprawling facility will have treatment rooms, plunge pools, an herbal sauna, a Turkish bath, and an indoor thermal pool with views of Lake Como.
