A dynamic residency for sculptors who push boundaries and build community. Create in Utica, New York’s historic industrial district with free housing, semi-private studios, and a $1,000 stipend. There is a $35 application fee.

Folger Shakespeare Library – Artistic Research Fellowships
Artists whose work would benefit from primary research related to the histories, concepts, art, and objects of the early modern world can apply for one- to three-month fellowships, which include awards of $4,000 per virtual month and $5,000 per onsite month.

Morgan-Menil Fellowship
Meant for independent research projects on drawing throughout the history of art, this three- to nine-month fellowship includes a monthly stipend of $4,000–$5,100, plus a modest allowance for travel between NYC and Houston, Texas.

Smack Mellon – 2026–27 Artist Studio Program
Six NYC-based emerging visual artists will be granted a free private studio, access to Smack Mellon’s shared production facilities, coordinated studio visits and open studios, and a fellowship (dependent on funding).

West Virginia University Libraries – Mountain AIR
Through project-based awards, this residency invites US artists to spend a week exploring the West Virginia & Regional History Center’s environmental archives, with the goal of inspiring new creative work that reveals the state’s ecological story.

Yaddo Artist Residency
Artists working in literature, visual arts, music, performance, and film & video can apply for residencies in Saratoga Springs, New York. These last from two weeks to two months and include room, board, and a studio. The application fee is $35.

Locust Projects – Main Gallery Open Call
Artists from around the world can apply for the opportunity to create ambitious, large-scale new work in the Miami organization’s main gallery. Those selected will receive a production budget of up to $10,000, a $5,000 artist fee, and more.

National Trust – Sycamore Gap Anniversary Commission
Seeking proposals that breathe life into wood saved from the Sycamore Gap tree, which stood by Hadrian’s Wall before it was unexpectedly felled in 2023. Five artists will receive £5,000 to develop their ideas, with one final concept selected in early 2026.

Scottsdale Arts – Brown Avenue Public Art Project
Scottsdale Public Art is accepting qualifications from artists for a permanent public art opportunity for the Brown Avenue Parking Structure Expansion project in Scottsdale, Arizona. The final selected artist will receive $160,000 for the realization of the art.

Post Wave Prize for Illustration
Emerging children’s book illustrators are invited to bring the theme of “Time for Tea” to life with a strong sense of storytelling through art. The winner will receive £3,000 and a fully funded trip to China.
