Conservationists at the UK’s Chester Zoo have celebrated the arrival of two rare Northeast African cheetah brothers, Kendi and Tafari.
The one-year-old siblings joined the zoo as part of a vital conservation program aimed at saving their critically endangered species, with fewer than 500 remaining in the wild.
The cheetahs, among the world’s rarest big cats, were photographed exploring their new habitat for the first time, curiously adapting to their surroundings under the care of zookeepers.
