West Brom fans call for a boycott after being left raging at what they labelled ‘disgraceful’ ticket prices for Coventry away.
West Brom fans, already frustrated with the team’s poor form and winless away record since August, are furious over Coventry City’s high away ticket prices for the the 22nd of November at the CBS Arena.
They have been set at £45 for adults, £40 for seniors and 18-21s, and £35 for under-18s, with quite the backlash on social media, amid broader concerns that football is pricing out regular supporters.
Something needs to be done about this shit because this is a disgrace. Coventry getting a bit too big for their boots it seems https://t.co/5kW3BSig1L pic.twitter.com/BZ5K42qSBj

As mentioned, West Brom fans call for a boycott after being left raging at ‘disgraceful’ Coventry ticket prices…
@thepopmonkey: Tell them to come back with some fair pricing.
@kieranmahoney: Don’t forget the booking fee 🤝
@Rees_wba: Boycott the game, send the tickets back and tell them to fuck off 👍🏻
@dazza_2021: Send them all back, and when they visit us charge them double!
@BaggieBoing: If you go, support the team, but refuse to buy anything in the concourse, this will hit them in lost revenues… only way to do it…p ass it on #WBA #WBAFC #Westbrom
@BenjaminWba: Just boycott it and don’t go simple
@mattmil47594795: Paying £45 to watch us us lose by 4 or 5 what a joke
@SJB74: Boycott it. It’s the only way they will change the pricing.
@stourbaggies: Disgraceful pricing, Cov should be ashamed
@KitmanPat: I don’t know whether to buy a child season ticket at WBA or buy a single ticket for cov away, ridiculous pricing and the annoying thing is I’ll be going
@ThatCovPod: The ticket prices are too high. Fans don’t have to try and justify kids paying £35, it’s just not right. But – if you sell the allocation, you can’t complain. #WBA #PUSB
@callumbatham1: They having a laugh, would rather watch Stourbridge v Halesowen on the same day for £13 absolute joke!
@CJHall83: These prices are a disgrace. £45 for an adult is atrocious but what’s far more disgusting is £40 for a senior and £35 for an under 18. How do they expect those groups of people to afford those prices or for families to be able to go?? Shame on you @Coventry_City #wba
@BS11SkyBlues: Plenty of sympathy from fans locally as the game is priced the same for home fans. Absolutely no requirement to charge anyone over 30 quid at this level….
@SparesWba: I call on all fans not to pay this! please share and encourage others to do the same. £45 for a game of football is a disgrace.
@WM_Loyal: If you go to this game then you’re an idiot. If you go then you’re justifying the prices. Don’t buy a ticket and moan about it. Just refuse to go.
@LoveOfTheGround: English football is absolutely rotten. £160 for a family of 4 to watch a game of football. Fans of all clubs should’ve protested this many years ago. Disgusting
@baggie1971: Disgraceful @Coventry_City, you should be ashamed at these prices especially kids at £35 😡😡
@ashtonwba: Are they having a bloody laugh???
@k_wba17: taking the mick here they are 35 quid for an u18 ticket is disgraceful
@wbarenno: Sell one ticket, send the rest back, that one person takes a huge flag in, spreads it across the seats before the game. Then leaves the ground,The flag simply reads “FUCK OFF”
@Charl_WBA: I go to most away games, I ain’t paying that shit
@DanJTudge:
Refused at last years prices
About time something was done
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
but it all has to be done TOGETHER
@evanwba: £40? hahahahaha fuck that
@ScWBA2012: @KieranMaguire please could you call out this shameful price gouging by the greedy Fagans at @Coventry_City who think it is acceptable to charge £35 for a child to watch a 3-0 loss? Is this something the Football Regulator has jurisdiction over? @kevinhunterday @POF_POD
@Albion_IST: Yesterday’s ticket news was a timely reminder of why we need independent supporters’ trusts. This is exploitation. Football should never be taken away from the regular match-going fan. The Albion IST will fight for fair pricing. Shame on Coventry for what they’re charging.
