Kristen Stewart is no stranger to a hair transformation. The actor-director has been an on again, off again blonde for the last few years, but acting roles have kept her hair a dark brunette. In January this year, Stewart got back on the bleach, adding a citrus tonal twist to her ends. For the last few months, she’s let her roots grow out and added some shades of punky pink. Stewart has never been afraid of experimenting, from a fringed mullet, to a blonde buzz cut, bobs in various lengths, and back to a grown-out mullet—looks always executed with an edge.
Now, Stewart has made a conscious decision to go back to her natural color for fall 2025.

Kristen Stewart’s color
In keeping with the change in temperatures and tones this season, Kristen Stewart has now adopted a new look. At the screening of The Chronology Of Water at the BFI London Film Festival—which marks her directorial debut—she debuted a freshly dyed brunette hairdo. It’s a natural shade of brown, a color reminiscent of dark auburn, with a reddish undertone when the light hits it. The chestnut color harmonizes perfectly with her skin tone, as well as her makeup in rosy berry tones on both lips and cheeks. It’s really an ideal hair color for fall, because it’s such a warming, pan-skintone complementing color, and very easily maintained.

Kristen Stewart’s haircut
Leaving her wolfcuts, pixie crops, lobs, and shaved sides in the past, Stewart wore her hair medium length to just below her shoulders, with subtle layers accentuated by soft, mermaidy waves. It’s an understated, classic look, and much softer than what we’re used to seeing from the edgy Kristen Stewart. Still, the personality is there, adding a punky touch with a fresh set of micro-bangs that sit well above her eyebrows.
Micro-bangs are back having a moment. Zoë Kravitz recently joined the bob community with a micro-bob and super short bangs styled in a vintage, flapper-esque ’do. Miley Cyrus arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, with micro-bangs and a slick ponytail. It’s also not the first time Stewart has sported the super short fringe, wearing hers textured and tousled at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. While micro-bangs seem scary, they’re easily styled to suit any face shape, and of course, grow out quick!
With a full filming schedule lined up—she’s currently filming Full Phil and will soon begin vampire thriller Flesh of the Gods and the TV series The Challenger—we’re not sure how long we can expect Stewart’s new ’do to hang around. But get a good enough look at it here, because it’s a perfect look to replicate yourself for fall and winter 2025.
