PDLegal has hired partners Ravipat Mullijarupongs as head of dispute resolution and Supagorn (Pop) Jittimaporn as head of regional tax practice for the Thailand office to deepen its regional capabilities in disputes, wealth and private clients, tax and cross-border finance.

“With their appointments, PDLegal’s strategy in Thailand and Southeast Asia focuses on deepening our presence in key practice areas while enhancing cross-border collaboration across our offices and regional desks,” Peter Doraisamy, group managing partner at PDLegal, told Asia Business Law Journal.

Paul Papon Charoenpao, managing partner at PDLegal Thailand, also told ABLJ that these hires responded directly to client demand for multi-jurisdictional support across Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia.

Mullijarupongs was associate director at RSM Thailand for five years and also worked at Weerawong Chinnavat & Partners and Blumenthal Richter & Sumet. With more than 20 years of experience, he specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including contractual and shareholder disputes, bankruptcy and corporate rehabilitation, real estate and construction litigation, employment and labour law and intellectual property disputes.

He has advised multinational corporations, listed companies and private businesses across sectors such as real estate, construction, entertainment, manufacturing and consumer goods.

As head of dispute resolution, Mullijarupongs would oversee the firm’s litigation and arbitration work in Thailand while working closely with PDLegal’s regional dispute resolution team for the co-ordination of complex, cross-border disputes across the region, said Charoenpao.

He also would play a key role in mentoring the Thailand disputes team and integrating regional litigation capabilities with our offices in Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, added Charoenpao.

Jittimaporn has joined the firm from Boutique Corporation, a Thailand-based real estate development and asset management company, where he was vice president of legal compliance. He previously served as legal director at Country Group Development, another Thai real estate developer.

With more than a decade of experience, Jittimaporn advises high-net-worth families, founders and multinational corporations on Thai and international tax, succession planning and asset protection strategies. His expertise spans tax-efficient restructurings, tax audits and disputes, offshore trust structuring, IPO planning and digital asset-related matters.

As head of regional tax, Jittimaporn, led the growth of PDLegal’s tax and wealth management practice across the region, said Charoenpao. He said Jittimaporn’s focus includes advising clients on cross-border tax planning, succession structuring, and regulatory compliance, particularly for high-net-worth individuals and multinational clients with regional operations.

As part of the firm’s regional growth strategy, PDLegal was also expanding its tax capabilities across every jurisdiction in which they operated, said Charoenpao.
