The Philadelphia Eagles came into Sunday’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on a two-game losing streak.
They snapped that skid with a 28-22 win, however, and Jalen Hurts was glad to see it go.
“We ain’t f–king losers no more,” he was heard shouting as he walked into the visitors locker room following the win, per ESPN’s Tim McManus.
They aren’t losers anymore because Hurts was fantastic against the Vikings, throwing for 326 yards and three touchdowns with a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
He found DeVonta Smith (nine catches for 183 yards and a touchdown) and A.J. Brown (four catches for 121 yards and two scores) with regularity, as Philly’s much-maligned offense seemed to find a groove on Sunday.
“The thing was to come in and establish the run, that’s what we wanted to come in and do, and the game just flowed the way it did,” Hurts told reporters after the win. “We were able to be efficient in the pass game, [offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo] was very timely, and I think we were able to doctor up some things on the sideline and work through some things, but those guys made big-time plays. Smitty had a hell of a day. Tough. Size ain’t nothing to him the way he plays. It was good to see.”
Hurts made plenty of plays himself, and the Eagles are now 5-2 on the season.
