Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who got married in 2006, have ended their union of 19 years due to undisclosed reasons, after living apart in recent months.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after nearly two decades of marriage, according to multiple US media reports. At the moment, reasons behind their decision remains a mystery.
The news was confirmed late Monday by Variety, citing sources close to the couple. One insider told the New York Post that “sometimes relationships just run their course.”
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, had been married since June 2006. They met the year before at the annual G’Day USA gala, a Los Angeles event celebrating Australian talent. Their relationship quickly became one of Hollywood’s most enduring marriages, admired for its longevity in an industry known for short-lived unions.
Speculation about their split grew over the summer after reports surfaced that the pair had been living separately since June. Entertainment outlet TMZ reported that Urban had moved out of the couple’s Nashville home. At the same time, Kidman marked their 18th wedding anniversary by sharing a smiling photo of the pair on Instagram, a post that now appears bittersweet.

Friends of the actor have suggested she hoped to salvage the relationship. “She didn’t want this,” an unnamed source told People magazine. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The couple share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Nicole is also mother to two older children — Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30 — from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise, which ended in 2001 after more than a decade.
Both Nicole and Urban are internationally recognized in their fields. Nicole, born in Honolulu and raised in Sydney, is an Academy Award-winning performer acclaimed for roles in films such as Moulin Rouge! and The Hours. Urban, born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, is a Grammy-winning country music star with a career spanning more than 30 years.
Neither has publicly commented on the reports of their separation. Representatives for the couple did not respond immediately to requests for confirmation.
The split marks the end of one of the entertainment world’s most prominent marriages, uniting two of Australia’s most famous exports who built a family and shared careers on the global stage.
