In his speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke in defence of the organisation, countering US President Trump’s dismissal of the United Nations. Macron, who officially recognised the state of Palestine on behalf of France on Monday, announced his diplomatic support for both Gaza and Ukraine.
