Jingtian & Gongcheng adds disputes partner in Hong Kong

Jingtian & Gongcheng has hired Hau Pak Sun as a partner at its Hong Kong office, strengthening the firm’s dispute resolution capabilities across Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Hau brings more than 20 years of experience in Hong Kong litigation and arbitration. His practice focuses on matters involving listed companies, fiduciary duties of directors and senior executives, contractual and shareholder disputes, commercial fraud and regulatory investigations, insolvency, restructuring and cross-border dispute resolution.

Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Hau had been a partner at the Hong Kong law firm Charles Chu & Kenneth Sit since 2007.

Commenting on the appointment, Zhao Yang, chair of Jingtian & Gongcheng’s management committee, said: “Hau Pak Sun and his team’s arrival underscores our strategic commitment to building a top-tier disputes platform in Hong Kong, enabling us to deliver stronger legal services when navigating complex cross-jurisdictional challenges.”

Hau holds several significant positions within Hong Kong’s legal community. He is currently a council member of the Law Society of Hong Kong and serves as vice-chair of both the Standing Committee on Compliance and the Standing Committee on Practitioners Affairs. He also represents the Law Society on the High Court Rules Committee.

In addition, Hau is vice-chair of the Board of Review (Inland Revenue Ordinance) and a member of the Advisory Committee on Sports Dispute Resolution under the Department of Justice.
