A team of eight tax lawyers, led by partner Ye Yongqing, from King & Wood Mallesons, has joined Anli Partners’ Shanghai branch. Aside from Ye, Lan Meng, Song Dandan and Wang Yixiao have also moved to Anli as partners.
The team’s rich experience and strong reputation in tax aligned closely with Anli’s strategy to offer high-end commercial legal services, said Wang Qingyou, the director at Anli. Their addition will facilitate the firm’s international development.
With more than 25 years of experience, Ye was a former tax partner at KWM and Deloitte. He specialises in resolving major tax controversies, with clients spanning the technology, media and telecommunications sector, as well as the manufacturing, retail, finance and real estate fields. He has been advising financial and taxation authorities on legal matters.
Lan has a decade of legal experience and previously worked as a partner at KWM. She focuses on tax planning, tax compliance, transfer pricing and dispute resolution. Lan is skilled in building compliance systems and advising clients on tax incentive policies.
Song also brings 10 years of experience to Anli. Formerly a counsel at KWM, she is a lawyer, an accountant and a tax adviser. She is experienced in providing outbound companies with tax advisory and planning services, focusing on tax disputes and private wealth management. She has been advising high-net-worth clients on cross-border legal and tax matters.
Wang was previously an associate at KWM, advising clients in the pharmaceutical, fund management, logistics and livestreaming sectors. He is experienced in advising on criminal investigations related to tax and audits, and has been advising on tax compliance, international taxation and transfer pricing.
The remaining four tax lawyers on the team remain unnamed.
