Time for the 25/26 FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round draw now following a very busy weekend of Second Qualifying Round action.
It was a busy weekend as the FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round got underway, no new non league teams entering at that stage, with it just the winners from the First Qualifying Round, and there were plenty of goals and a few penalty shootouts across the 40 games.
The biggest attendance in the Second Qualifying Round came in the abandoned fixture between Runcorn Linnets and Bury with 1,005 fans present. The scoreline was 1-1 before the decision to stop the game.
Sittingbourne produced the biggest win, a 6-1 victory away against Crowborough Athletic. The game with the most amount of goals in normal time came at Walthamstow, who beat Leighton Town 5–3. Meanwhile, it was Hadley v Ascot United that had the biggest penalty shootout scoreline, finish 7-6 to Hadley after a 2-2 draw.
The Third Qualifying Round sees 64 ties drawn out. Once again, there are no replays, so any match which end in a draw after 90 minutes will be decided via a penalty shootout.
Teams in the 7th tier will enter in the Third Qualifying Round, while National League North / South teams it’s the Second Round Proper, then the National League in the Third Round Proper.
Should note that for those wondering where the FA Vase First round proper draw is, that is reportedly being done on Tuesday the 23rd at 1pm.
Teams who win in the Third Qualifying Round will pick up £2,450, while the losers pick up £625, a full list of prize money and dates for each round can be seen below…
